Relief for Sudan

£5.00

For over 2 years, Sudan has been facing war, ethnic cleansing and massacre upon massacre. Media blackouts and lack of coverage across the news has given cover to this.

Sudanese journalists and commentators have been warning that the fall of El Fasher would be considered the final solution. El Fasher is the capital of North Darfur which has been under siege by Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which have surrounded the city since mid 2024. Not only have they cut off food, medicine and aid, around 260,000 civilians, including 130,000 children are trapped amid airstrikes and starvation, with many stating the numbers are far higher than official reports.

The siege symbolises not only the military fall of Darfur but also a humanitarian catastrophe of historic scale being inflicted without impunity.

Across Sudan, the war between the RSF and the Sudanese Armed Forces has devastated cities, displaced more than 10 million people and pushed the country to the brink of famine. The battle for El Fasher reflects this nationwide struggle. As the RS gains ground in Darfur and Khartoum remains in ruins, Sudan risks permanent fragmentation

- prolonging one of the world's worst humanitarian crisis.
